Biography
Harrison W. Mark is a writer from the Hudson Valley, New York. He graduated from SUNY Oswego in May 2020 with degrees in history and political science, and also studied the German language on and off. His love of history began at an early age, and was fostered by the historic region in which he grew up; upstate New York contains several sites of historic significance including Gilded Age mansions and Revolutionary War battlefields. He remains fascinated by history, a subject that tells the story of humankind and is irrevocably woven into our present and future. His particular areas of interest include Ancient Rome, late 18th-early 19th century French and American history, and the history of social and political revolutions.
When he is not writing or researching for World History Encyclopedia, Harrison enjoys to write and read fiction. Back in his college days, he served as a fiction editor for his university's student-run literary journal, the Great Lake Review. He is also an non-professional stage actor, having recently performed in two Shakespeare plays ('Twelfth Night' and 'the Tempest') and as 'Laurie' in an adaptation of 'Little Women' at his local theatre. Some of Harrison's other hobbies include hiking, filmmaking, and playing the guitar.
